Jeff is a great friend of the Club and we wanted to take the opportunity to spread the word about his performance. Here’s a letter we recently received:
A quick note to let you know that Strange Travel Suggestions has been extended through February 19th!
I’m loving this run at The Berkeley Marsh. It’s a dynamic space with great acoustics, and feels more like a jazz club (which it was, in its past life) than a formal theater. It’s the perfect venue for my show, and the response has been amazing. Please come, and tell your friends! (As you know, every performance is different… So if you’ve been to this run already and would like to come again, drop me a line and I’ll give you password for $10 tix.)
Shows ARE selling out, so get your tickets soon!
I’d also like to tell you about another terrific East Bay show. Mike Daisey’s profound, often hilarious meditation on materialism — The Last Cargo Cult — will be at the Berkeley Rep through February. It’s an epic and tale, told by an extraordinary monologist who I can only describe as a force of nature.
Finally…. Another great friend and inspiration, the incomparable Nina Wise, will be undergoing heart surgery on February 2nd inAtlanta. Please send this gifted artist your blessings, and prayers for a quick recovery.
