Lynne Orloff-Jones is a leading authority on fast and easy cooking that tastes good. She has been teaching cooking classes for 20+ years and keeps current on modern eating trends (including wine and food pairing). Sometimes referred to as the “Galley Goddess”, Lynne has been sailing and cooking afloat for 28 years, including a year cruise to Mexico and back, chartering boats ( BVI, Croatia, etc.) and regularly sails/races year-round on the Bay and Delta.
She has written two cookbooks. Her first, CAN-TO-PAN COOKERY is geared for boaters, campers and outdoorsmen who often have to prepare meals with basic ingredients and limited refrigerated foods. Be it in a sailboat galley, on cooking on a camp stove her expertise for budget minded, user-friendly recipes takes the guesswork out of what to fix.
The recipes in Hurry Up I’m Hungry also have easy preparation and short cooking time specifically designed for busy people. “It’s fast slow cooking,” Lynne explains. “All the robust flavor without hours of simmering.” Check out the chicken & dumpling recipe for homemade simplicity.
Complimentary appetizers and sangria will be served, including a quickie cooking demo for one appetizer.
