The Grey Poupon Award originated as a joke in 1994.  It was presented to an OCSC Instructor who made it a habit to sail entirely to close to other boats and say, “Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?”   (That was the tag line of a TV commercial at the time.)  Over the years it has evolved into a humorous, but honest, attempt to honor an OCSC Instructor.  It is the only award that OCSC gives out.  The nomination and election committee is every previous holder.   There is no way to prepare for this award, because the criteria for winning are vague, unwritten, unspoken, and change from year to year.

Congratulations Bill!
